DANISH BRIDGE GOES LIVE
The final section of the Storebaelt project -- Denmark's Fixed Link across the Great Belt -- opens to road traffic in June, about seven years after construction first began. The 6,700 m long suspension East Bridge crosses the eastern channel between Zealand and Sprogo. For the record takers, the link is more than twice the length of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge and more than one and a half times as long as Seto Ohashi in Japan.
