TIPS FOR SUCCESSFUL IMPLEMENTATION OF TECHNOLOGY
The research work described herein represents the consolidation of knowledge, experiences, theories and philosophies regarding technology implementation. It is packaged in a concise and easy to understand methodology for assessing the technology implementation potential for success to aid in the analysis and decision making related to technology implementation. This was achieved by identifying 31 factors which have been determined to influence the final outcome. The primary product of this research consists of a database of knowledge on the subject of technology transfer, technology investment and the associateed uncertainty. The knowledge is encapsulated in a model which is the heart of the analysis process known as the TIPS Method. TIPS provides a pragmatic methodology for assisting individuals dealing with technology transfer decision issues.
