THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL ASPECTS OF THE SAMPLING OF CRUSHED MATERIALS
THEORIE ET PRATIQUE DE L'ECHANTILLONNAGE DES MATIERES MORCELEES
An attempt is made to explain: (1) the causes of errors occurring in sampling; (2) which variables govern their occurrence; (3) the possibility of estimating the latter; (4) the qualities required in sampling operations; (5) how to ensure these qualities. The theoretical study was based on investigations carried out with crushed mineral materials; the greater part of the study can also be applicable to non-crushed materials, such as solids or liquids. Part of this book deals with the concept of heterogeneity in crushed materials. /TRRL/
