PRESTRESSED CONCRETE SHIPS FOR SLIPFORM CONSTRUCTION
Experience gained in other fields to build concrete structures with many repetitions is applied to floating concrete structures. It is found that slipforms are by far the cheapest if the form can be used for a large length of slipping and vertical sliding is best for placing and compacting the concrete. Shell configurations and improvements in slipforming are discussed.
