EFFECT OF MIX VARIABLES ON THE FATIGUE BEHAVIOR OF BITUMINOUS AGGREGATE
EIMF A LA FATIGUE D'UN ENROBE BITUMINEUX
A study was conducted on the influence of the composition parameters of a base-course bituminous mixture (gravel-bitumen) on its complex modulus and especially on its fatigue behavior. Tests were conducted with the use of a multiple bending fatigue machine. An attempt was mad to determine the optimun compositions from the viewpoint of the fatigue resistance of a road structure entirely in gravel-bitumen. Optimum mix was one containing 4. 5 percent of bitumen.
