THE EFFECT OF CAVITATION ON THE INTERACTION BETWEEN PROPELLER AND SHIPS HULL
In this paper the results of research into the effect of propeller on ship-propeller interaction and on vibratory forces induced by the propeller are reviewed. A motivation for the need of a large depressurized towing tank is given. The areas of research in which an experimental penetration by application of such a 'vacutank' is possible, are discussed.
