MORE CUSTOMER ORIENTED THANKS TO INNOVATIONS ON BUS LINE 42
Transit planning was recently the subject of intense discussions in the city council of Stuttgart. As a result, it became apparent that the current situation, which is characterized by: twice as many commuters as 25 years ago; more cars on the road than ever; hence, high levels of air and noise pollution. The details of future transit plans have not yet been altogether fixed; however, it is clear that public transit must and will play a more significant role in the future. The current rate of development will not be sufficient to meet the future mobility requirements. The article examines the measures to create an innovative bus transportation system so that a greater share of traffic can be shifted from private to public transit.
