DOWN AND OUT
Two main constraints affect the demolition industry today. Firstly, all contractors have to examine the environmental impact of the proposed works, and secondly, they have to decide what is to be done with the waste material. The demolition industry has produced a wide variety of specialized crushing, breaking, and shearing devices designed particularly with highway contracts in mind. Today's breakers come in a range of sizes and weights from lightweight hand-held machines up to massive, machine-mounted giants such as the G120 from Rammer and the Indeco 12000, weighing in at 7150 kg.
