GIS- APPLICATION TO CORRIDOR 20
GIS was used for efficient display of transportation network data as well as analyses related to computation of construction costs in the Corridor 20 feasibility study. This paper presents an innovative application of GIS in the Corridor 20 feasibility study. The objective of the Corridor 20 study was to analyze the feasibility of an interstate type highway in the U.S. 59 corridor, and a freeway from Houston to the Lower Rio Grande Valley, Texas.
