This article is the second in a series of two dealing with the engineering and economic considerations, which are crucial for the design of a heat transfer plant. In part I (see abstract no 96051071), considerations for the selection criteria for thermal oil heat transfer plants were discussed. This second and final part of the article discusses the flow arrangement and the component materials of thermal oil systems.
