POWER TO SPARE

The article discusses main mover products and developments. The author reports that all engine builders have had to devote considerable effort towards lowering exhaust emissions due to the realization that good performance, without reduction of performance or incurring extra running costs for additives, will be an important sales factor in the future. It would not be too much to suggest that "dirty" engines will eventually become unsaleable, as much stricter legislation takes effect. The author also reports that owners and builders are spoiled for choice and will have no difficulty in selecting a model with the fewest cylinders, shortest length and lightest weight, to suit their exact requirements.
