ANTARCTICA AND DEEP OCEANS: SCIENTIFIC TARGETS FOR THE R/V HESPERIDES

The R/V HESPERIDES is an ice strengthened multi-purpose oceangoraphic research vessel designed and built in Spain, in order to extend research to Antarctica and to the deep oceans. The vessel has an overall length of 82.5m and a breadth of 14.3m. Facilities on the HESPERIDES include: complete helicopter installation, hyperbaric chamber, a one square metre moonpool, and stabilized electric network.
