STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS AND DESIGN OF SHIPS: A REVIEW

This report provides a state-of-the-art review on the structural analysis methods and current research activities with regard to ultimate strength, structural reliability analysis and design. A brief introduction to some new developments in quality assurance and design philosophy is also given. The areas which require further research are identified.
