INCREASED OUTPUT RAISES HOPES OF ECONOMIC RECOVERY IN SINGAPORE
The article reviews the ship repair industry in Singapore which, faced by widening competition from overseas yards, has gone into steady decline. However, shipbuilding and conversions have lifted its marine industry's production and heightened optimism.
