AASHTO MANUAL FOR BRIDGE MAINTENANCE 1987
The purpose of this manual is to provide guidelines for the proper maintenance of highway bridges. The manual indicates the type of problems normally experienced in each of the various bridge elements and identifies proper maintenance methods. The ten chapters include information about the maintenance of decks; wearing surfaces; deck drainage systems; curbs, sidewalks, and railings; bridge joint systems; superstructure systems; substructure systems; streambed and banks; and protective systems.
