DEVELOPMENT OF A TRANSPORTATION PLANNING SYSTEM
The study was designed to develop an integrated multi-modal transportation planning system that would offer guidelines to transportation management for facilitating planning. The major research included developing agency goals and functional objectives; identifying opportunities and constraints as mandated or restricted by existing legislation; defining procedures, organizational alternatives, a system concept, communications and information, a manpower management plan, and an implementation strategy.
