THE RESPONSE OF FLEXIBLE STRUCTURES TO ATMOSPHERIC TURBULENCE
The report provides a means of estimating shear forces, bending moments, deflections, and accelerations experienced by flexible structures when caused to vibrate in the along-wind direction by the action of the turbulent wind. The results obtained can aid in the structural design of ground based structures such as stacks, towers, bridges, and buildings against the action of atmospheric wind loads.
