EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES ON THE EFFECTS OF THE GRAIN CRUSHING OF ROCK-FILL ON SHEAR DILATANCY AND SHEAR STRENGTH

An obvious characteristic of rock-fill is the crushing of its grains under the action of forces. Through a triaxial experiment and plane stress experiment of Three Gorge weathered granite, and combined with the triaxial experiment results of the Moriyoshiyama andesite and basalt in Japan, the grain crushing laws and relative mechanical characteristics are comprehensively analyzed, the relationships between crushing rate, shear dilatancy and crushing strength component are studied in this paper.
