CONSTRUCTION PROBLEM SOLVED WITH SOIL NAILING
A bridge abutment retaining wall construction problem in the city of Grandview, Missouri was solved with soil nailing, a cost-effective permanent or temporary retaining wall construction method that has seen significant development and increased use over the last 20 years. Soil nailing reinforced a cut parallel to Truman Drive to allow construction of a U-turn lane connecting the East and West outer roads of U.S. 71.
