THE ROAD STRUCTURES RESEARCH PROGRAMME; THE TARGET CRITERIA

TIEN POHJA- JA PAALLYSRAKENTEET (TPPT); TAVOITEKRITEERIT

The objective of the Road Structure Research Programme (TPPT) is to improve the trafficability of roads and to reduce annual costs. These objectives are achieved by gaining a greater degree of control over the factors affecting the distress and evenness of roads in the areas of fatigue, frost heave and bearing capacity. In this study, the design criteria for these factors are investigated, so that the limiting values for TPPT test sections can be set so that the distress and evenness criteria are fullfilled.
