USE OF ASPHALT FOR SLOPE PROTECTION ON EARTH AND ROCKFILL DAMS
Three types of protective treatment are considered: (1) combination of waterproofing and slope protection (asphaltic concrete, prefabricated mastic carpet); (2) heavy protection of slopes (penetration of protective rockfills, basic planning criteria examples); (3) bituminous filter: bitumen-coated sand layer, mac-mastic protective layer (bituminous mastic mixtures), partial penetration of protective rockfills; basic planning criteria.
