AN ANALYTICAL METHOD FOR COMPUTER CALCULATION OF STIFFENED PLATES BUCKLING STRESSES
The conception of computer programs for the integrated hull structure analysis system of a Classification Society requires a particular philosophy. Some ideas on the subject are developed by the author, who takes the example of the buckling studies at Bureau Veritas. Using an analytical method of resolution, he has developed a post processor more specialized and efficient than the previously used finite element program. The first curves and deflection surfaces obtained by this method are analysed.
