MOTIVATION STUDY ON BICYCLE ITINERARY CHOICE IN DORDRECHT
MOTIVATIEONDERZOEK FIETSROUTEKEUZE DORDRECHT
Bicyclists and moped riders in Dordrecht were interviewed to determine their wishes regarding safety, surface evenness, traffic lights, one-way traffic, trip length, priority and cycle tracks on their journey to work. It is concluded that the bicyclist wants the quickest itinerary to his work, and that the environment is less important. Discomforts which for the bicyclist are the most important are surface unevenness and safety; less important are environment, diversions and traffic lights. Slopes and wind have a more neutral value. Bicyclists want to have their own cycle track, segregated from other traffic. /TRRL/
