TIME OF PONDING - COMPARISON OF RESULTS OF THE PARLANGE SOLUTION WITH THE SMITH AND MEIN-LARSON MODELS
In this investigation the Parlange solution for time to ponding was adopted. Rehovot Sand was used as the medium. Ponding time was computed over a wide range of nondimensional rainfalls varying from 1.002 to 1,000. The results were compared with the Smith model and the Mein-Larson model. The agreement was good at high relative rainfall intensities. For low values, it was found to be unsatisfactory. /Author/
