The highly productive smaller yards throughout the United States are veritable production lines for the hundreds of vessels they turn out annually. These include crewboats, tug/supply vessels, towboats, tugs, barges, and other craft that ply the inland waterways and harbors, and serve the offshore oil industry. This article tells about 27 of these companies.
