STATIC ELECTRIFICATION IN SUPERTANKERS
Static electricity can lead to a devasting explosion in today's mammoth supertankers as shown by photographs in this paper. This article examines the causes of static in supertankers, charge generation in flowing liquids and looks at methods of static prevention.
