GENERAL COMPUTING METHOD FOR ENVIRONMENTAL CALCULATION ON ROAD ELEMENTS AND A ROAD NETWORK
The application of traffic simulation has been used for some time in the handling of capacity problems and special traffic flow issues. The paper demonstrates a traditional capacity analysis regarding new road networks in Hungary. The simulation computer model works with different parameters of actual traffic flows and existing road networks. By adding the emission parameters of average vehicle types, emitted values of air pollution can be obtained. The emission model can predict emission concentration levels in different points of the road network (in cities or in rural areas).
