FLORIDA'S APPROACH TO MOTOR VEHICLE NOISE CONTROL
Increasing public response to noise, specifically that related to transportation, has prompted the State of Florida to develop a comprehensive motor vehicle noise prevention and control program. A multidisciplinary approach involving Federal and state legislative actions, interdepartmental recommendations, and local assistance is discussed. Data collection, analyses, and computer modeling to evaluate the effectiveness of alternative vehicle noise control strategies are described.
