VIBRATION AND FLOW PROPERTIES OF WIND AROUND DOUBLE CABLES OF CABLE STAYED BRIDGE
In view of the influence on structures of vibration induced by wind, this paper studies the properties of flow around a body. The aerodynamic force coefficients and the properties of vibration of double cables arranged in any form relative to the approaching flow are analysed. The result shows that the relative location of double cables has great influence on aerodynamic force and flow structure, especially on downstream cables. There is a steady zone in flow district around double cables. The possibility of vibration caused by the interaction of double cables can be decreased in the zone.
