INFORMATION ON JOURNEYS WITH PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN THE NETHERLANDS BY TELEPHONE
TELEFONISCHE OPENBAAR VERVOER REISINFORMATIE IN NEDERLAND
On May 31, 1992 the information by telephone on public transport journeys in the Netherlands was introduced. Since 1993 more than seven million telephone calls were made. A short overview is given on the capacity of the telephone information centres, the achievements in 1993, and the appraisal by the customers and the effects on mobility.
