THROUGHFLOW INFORMATION BY ELECTRIC PROSPECTING
The throughflow information in a natural slope is very important for understanding slope stability mechanism. No adequate methods to get three dimensional moisture distribution data in the field, however, have been developed yet. So the authors proposed to apply the computer aided two-electrode method to survey throughflow in the slope. To evaluate the reliability of this method, the apparent resistivity distribution, suction, pore water, and RI-values were measured during water injection into the natural slope. As the result of testing, differences of apparent resistivity distribution with elapse time are available for getting three dimensional throughflow in the natural slope.
