MIX RHEOLOGY - A TOOL FOR PREDICTING THE HIGH TEMPERATURE PERFORMANCE OF HOT MIX ASPHALT (WITH DISCUSSION)
A significant amount of current work has been directed towards evaluating how the performance of bituminous mixtures is influenced by the binder properties. This paper discusses the different performance related mixture tests which have been developed to predict the rut resistance and the differences in these tests are described. Also binder type and air void content are related to the properties of bituminous mixtures.
