AASHTO'S REAUTHORIZATION POLICY STATEMENTS. FINAL REPORT
Looking toward the development of the next federal surface transportation legislation, the AASHTO Board of Directors in November, 1994 adopted a process for analyzing current programs and drafting recommendations on future programs. A total of five reports were completed in 1995, all of which have been adopted as AASHTO Policy Statements and which include: Federalism and reauthorization; issues in transportation planning and recommendations; environmental issues and transportation; innovation for transportation; and, alternative financing proposals. Included in this report are the five reports adopted which have been annotated to reflect subsequent action by the Congress.
