SHAFT MATERIAL OFFERS IMPROVEMENTS IN CORROSION RESISTANCE
A new shaft material is claimed to offer superior resistance to crevice corrosion with a higher corrosion fatigue strength than other leading shaft materials. The high strength duplex stainless steel alloy which has a high resistance to corrosion in seawater is also claimed to be available at considerably less cost than other shaft materials.
