M LLER FIRST TO HIT THE MAGIC 6,000TEU MARK
REGINA MAERSK, built by A P M ller, Odense, Denmark, is claimed to be the world's first 6,000TEU capacity container ship. Apart from its high capacity the ship incorporates several innovative features, including its main machinery and propulsion system, a new lashing system for containers on deck and a digitised electronic chart system.
