FACTORS OF SHIP'S AUTOMATION DEVELOPMENT
The paper discusses the development of ship's automatic control systems. The influence of the shipowner, classification society requirements and the shipyard are analyzed, in order to predict future developments and develop a new approach to the construction of automated ships. The basic characteristic of the new approach is the physical and functional integration of the ship's technological object with the automatic control equipment. The automatic control system described simplifies manipulation, maintenance and diagnostics, and fulfils all the requirements needed for the replacement of the supervision and remote control functions onto the bridge.
