COMPOSITE STEEL-DECK CONCRETE FLOOR SYSTEMS
The use and application of composite steel-deck concrete floor systems in building construction both in the U.S.A. and Canada is presented. A comprehensive literature review on the topic is given. Examples of proprietary composite decks presently on the market are illustrated. Advantages and disadvantages in using composite deck slabs are stated and analyzed. Composite beams and open-web joists incorporating steel-deck-reinforced slabs are also considered in general.
