IRENA ARCTICA: FEEDER SHIP FOR GREENLAND TRADE
IRENA ARCTICA was built specifically for a connecting feeder service on the west coast of Greenland, working northward from the capital Nuuk. Built by rskov Staalskibsvaerft A/S, Denmark. the design, featuring a high freeboard, is based on achieving a maximum TEU intake, with as many boxes as possible carried within the hull, in view of the adverse weather conditions. A general arrangement drawing is given in the article.
