TRUCK TRANSPORTATION OF HAZARDOUS MATERIALS: LET'S PLAN AHEAD

Truck transportation plays an important part in the distribution of virtually all commodities. This article reports a review of present problems in the handling of hazardous material cargoes. After describing involving hazardous materials, six problem areas indicated by them are listed. Several ideas are presented that may be included in a long range solution for the problems in the shipment of hazardous materials. Industry and government must work together toward the goal of safety in hazardous material transportation. /Author/
