TRANSPORTATION RESOURCES ON THE INTERNET
The Internet is a wealth of transportation information, if one knows where to look. Transportation researchers can enhance their productivity by carefully searching the Internet. This article describes the basic tools available on the Internet and summarizes a variety of available transportation-related resources. E-mail, mailing lists, dial-up bulletin board systems, TELNET and FTP, and the World Wide Web are tools available to Internet users that are described here.
