THE INTERWEAVING OF SPATIAL PLANNING AND TRAFFIC AND TRANSPORT
DE VERWEVENHELD VAN RUMTELIJKE ORDENING EN VERKEEREN VERVOER
The strong correlation which exists between problems of spatial planning and traffic and transportation is now commonly understood. The notes which are now being prepared on a governmental level are based on this correlation. It follows that policies for spatial planning and traffic and transport must be coordinated. It is stated that in the big cities there is no question of a traffic problem but an environmental problem. Making cycle tracks, improving public transport, giving more facilities to pedestrians and the exclusion of private transport does not provide a complete solution. /TRRL/
