A FRAMEWORK FOR INTEGRATING REAL TIME INFORMATION AND DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR INCIDENT MANAGEMENT OPERATIONS

Incident management is a particularly sensitive area, the effective operation of which concerns various sectors of a society, such as health, transportation, environment, and economy. The organization of an efficient incident management system has long been addressed, and a number of approaches have been tested. However, significant activity to integrate the various components of the incident management domain has not been carried out until the present. The system architecture, presented in this paper, aims to the integration of the actors involved in the incident management domain, with the application of new technologies, comprising information flow systems, and communication interfaces, for the identification of information and timeless information exchange. Main emphasis is, also, given to the standardization of information, and information flow control, which are considered to be the main aspects of an effective and open system architecture.
