This paper illustrates ways in which OC Transpo is cooperating with other agencies to improve overal mobility in the National Capital Region. In particular three recent initiatives are used to illustrate opportunities for intermodal cooperation: providing rapid transit services the the Ottawa MacDonald-Cartier International Airport in partnership with Transport Canada and the National Capital Commission; working with Voyageur Colonial to provide better connections for passengers between intercity bus services and OC Transpo; and a multi-disciplinary study to determine ways to encourage use of transit centres and Transitway stations.
