TRAVELER INFORMATION SHOWCASE INTRODUCES PDA'S TO ATIS
The purpose of this paper is to describe the different architectural approaches used in delivering traveler information to a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) within the Traveler Information Showcase (TIS) Project. The authors summarize the approaches by discussing the PDA industry, the TIS customer functions incorporated on the PDA, the different TIS PDA subsystems architectures, and the authors concerns of cost to the customers.
