DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF EXPANDED POLYSTYRENE EMBANKMENTS

This paper covers the history of the use of expanded polystyrene (EPS) in light weight fill for road embankments. UK design requirements and physical properties of the EPS foam are covered together with two case studies.
