AN ADVANCED SONAR FOR HYDROGRAPHIC SURVEY

Summarises the evidence available on the inadequacy of hydrographic charts, describes detailed field trials of research sonar equipment, presents parameters and design criteria for new survey equipment, describes pre-production equipment now under manufacture and summarises its proposed method of deployment in the field.
