DESIGN REQUIREMENTS FOR A MAJOR OFFSHORE PROCESSING FACILITY
Presents solutions to some unusual structural design problems in housing a large gas processing plant on offshore platforms in the Java Sea. A description of the process, the major components of the facility and their influence on the structural design of the platforms are included. The plant demonstrates the feasibility of locating such a facility offshore when an onshore plant is unfavorable due to environmental or economic conditions.
