A BOX OF BUILDING BLOCKS FOR PASSENGER TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS

EEN BOUWDOOS VOOR PERSONENVERVOERSYSTEMEN

Introduction of computers gives opportunities for new, playful ways of transfering knowledge. An example is the (electronic) box of building blocks for passenger transportation systems, which allows to simulate passengertransportation systems. The box aims at transferring knowledge from science to policy. The main function of the box is to deliver transportation systems to other parts of a project. The transportation systems are used, together with data concerning the environment of a system, to compute volume and structure of transportation and to evaluate the qualities of a transportation system (including external effects). An additional function of the box is directly but roughly evaluating transportation systems. Therefore, it is possible to use the box to give a rough description of the environment of a system and to compute the system qualities. For the covering abstract of the conference see IRRD 876637.
