CHARACTERIZATION OF THE REGIONAL TRANSPORT POLICY
ONDERBOUWING VAN HET VERKEERS- EN VERVOERSBELEID IN DE REGIO
Increasingly the implementation of the (national) transport policy in the Netherlands will take place in a regional context. This paper deals with the various aspects that play an important part in the regional transport policy process, where the policy process is viewed from three different angles: (1) real world and policy making; (2) policy making and need for information; and (3) need for information and the set of instruments to generate this information. A coherent policy (as regards content and geography) is found to be a major condition for succesful implementation of a regional transport policy.
