IMPLEMENTATION AND INTERACTION BETWEEN CEN STANDARDS AND U.S. PROCEDURES: VALIDATION OF CEN TEST STANDARDS
The European Committee for Normalization (CEN) Technical Committee (TC) 226, on the occasion of its first meeting in April 1990, entrusted Working Group 1 (WG1) with the standardization of safety barriers, crash cushions, and, in a general way, road restraint systems. Having developed these international standards, this article briefly discusses the reasons for CEN test calibration procedures and what calibration procedures are needed.
